Work, China
Work never stops in China, especially in the city. As you wander the streets of Shanghai you are surrounded by delivery drivers, street cleaners, cardboard sellers, market traders, guards, traffic wardens. And even as you hike through the Huangshan mountains your path is marked by a line of porters ascending the steps laden with heavy goods for the hotels at the peaks. Everyone you see has a role and a purpose, whether they like it or not. I hope to have captured the non-stop nature of work in China, the pride that many have in their work, but also the struggle that can often be clear to see.
